Phase 2
Guess who moved back in after being absent for a week? Mr. AbRipperX. Ugh. Chest, Shoulders & Triceps was tougher than I remembered it being. After getting through most of the push-ups, I couldn't do a single one arm pushup today, but fought my way through the rest of it. Talk about going to a whole new level to avoid a plateau. Yikes. Feels like I'm starting over again.

I hear you. For me, I am not ashamed of two things after being abused by C,S&T last night.
ReplyDelete1. I absolutely SUCK at pushups. I swear, I have ZERO pec power!! But if I have to do every last darn one of them on my knees...I WILL!!!
2. I skipped the Ab Ripper! I have to stop doing that! I was just so stinking drained after this new workout, I couldn't bring myself to do it. But I know that is just me losing out on better gains!!
Also, added Creatine to the mix now. Bought some at Walmart last week, so I'm psyched to see if that helps with power, volume, anything?
Crazy thing is...one scoop of the stuff is 170 calories, and it calls for two scoops for the first 5 days. That is a HUGE caloric hit late at night for me!! A 340 calorie drink of water before headng to bed....DANG!! Better work!!
Hey guys, isn't this a new dvd though? It's chest, shoulders, and triceps, and we were once doing chest and back. Therefore, different, new, and HARDER!
ReplyDeleteI do try doing as many as I can on my toes, but often come to my knees...if I don't, I know I am not focusing in on the right muscle--the pecs, and my lower back starts straining.
I encourage you Eric to just do it on the ab-x---I too feel tired, drained from the previous dvd--in fact, I thought "phase 2--just c,s,&t--but lo and behold, AB RIPPER X was after! So, I reluctantly put it in (and what doesn't help me is I did it late at night when I have spent lots of energy during the day--one more reason I like a.m. workouts!) but just hit zombie mode--and did the work!
Yesterday guys--I tell you if I don't start dropping some weight I am going to scream! I did my a.m. spin class (remember, I put in maybe 60-70%), but after, 20 on treadmill-and did intervals on a 3% incline, 20min. on elliptical, and knowing I had a plyo day ahead of me, I left it at that, but was already fatigued. I knew I'd have a better quality plyo day if I could squeeze in a power nap, but kids were home all day, it didn't happen. So, plyo ended last night at 7:30! Very tired!
I think I ruined my plyo workout this morning with the massive amount of shrimp LoMein I just ate. the Devil must be Chinese.
ReplyDeleteThat explains why you can eat so much, then be hungry in no time!! EVIL, but delicious! LOL
ReplyDeleteCrushed Plyo last night and looking forward to the new Back & Bicep workout tonight (well, not the pullup part!!).
And no, Steph, I won't skip the Ab Ripper part! I think I'll do that first, actually. :)
